I had the strangest thing happen to me last night; I was feeling fine, we were watching TV just hanging out and then all of a sudden I started feeling sick. I went to the bathroom and within minutes I had chills like I have never before experienced. I shook so hard that it felt like my back was breaking and I just couldn't stop. I crawled into Emily's bed because it was the closest and ask Em to go get her Daddy. He layered quilt after quilt on me and then lay there rubbing my legs to try to warm me up. It lasted almost an hour and by then I was totally exhausted. After a couple of hours I was able to get up for a while but I just took my sleeping pills and went to bed. I slept until almost eleven o'clock this morning. Did very little all day and felt like I had been run over by a truck. I told Mark it felt like someone had turned the tap and drained my life force out of me.

This afternoon I walked around the yard and finally found the perfect spot... a little embankment beside a drainage ditch where I have planted all sorts of flowers over the years that run along the sides of the ditch, under red bud and oak trees there are day lilies, spider lilies, daffodils, and jonquils all up and green but not blooming yet. The embankment was in full sun and had plenty of green grass so I stretched out on the ground and let the warmth of the sun soak into my bones. Rufus,my big white dog, came and kept watch. He laid down about 10 feet from where I was and looked like he was guarding me - I guess that is what he was doing. I think I could have laid there all afternoon but finally got up and finished my walk.

I can hardly believe we are supposed to have another cold spell along with rain and snow this weekend. I would much rather spend the day in the sun, again.

What are you doing this weekend?

That is so strange! Did you have a fever?
I had a fever like that the last time I was in the hospital. I shook so hard my teeth chattered and I thought I was going to bite my tongue off. It made my back hurt and I felt just like you described. It's an awful awful feeling.

Your rest in the sun sounds perfect!
Mom says she has 5 inches of snow.

I went to a baby shower today, took lots of pictures, and then came home and worked in the yard a little.
