It is sometimes just hard to not get depressed, you know what I mean?

It seems like every time we think something is going to happen to help us get out of this hole we get kicked in the teeth, again.

Remember the big tour gig I told you about a few months back where Mark would be traveling all over this region during the summer... whole tour canceled.

A couple of weeks ago we made a nice sale to a local church, the biggest sale we've had all year. The church has decided the products don't work like they thought they would so they want their money back. Of course, I've already spent what profit we did make on the job so we will have to borrow money to refund to the church.... interest, payments.. well, we lost our ass on that one.

I try not to dwell on the negative but sometimes... life is just hard.

We had a call that an old friend, a man who was a big influence in Mark's younger life died this past weekend. Another friend called tonight to tell us his Mom who has been sick for a couple of years had a stroke today and probably won't live through the night, she's on a respirator waiting for the family to gather so they can unplug her. And, number three - an old friend's sister died this week. I haven't been around her much in the last few years but it makes my heart sad to know how much she is hurting because they were very close.

But, the one bright spot tonight was Ms. Zoe, she is such a joy. She made me laugh all night - she has learned to crow and she likes to do it.

Life can be a bitch can't it?

I'm so sorry about the canceled tour and the refund.

All of those loses remind me how fragile life is, how precious each second is.

I'm glad you have the wonderful bright spot that is Zoe.

love you!

Sandy, It was Rick Newlund who died. Richard H.'s Mom and Joy Baker's sister, Patsy.
I thought you might like to know.

and, yes, life is a bitch, most of the time. Seems like you have to look for the bright spots.

Alyssa is like this for us, too. Sorry things have been so shitty lately.
