The day is drawing to a close. I have a little more to do in the office and then I'm going in to shower and veg on the sofa the rest of the night.
Dinner was yummy! Everything turned out just like it was supposed to - delicious.
My brother and his wife are both pretty picky eaters but they even liked everything I fixed.
The other couple I had invited just didn't show up - who does that? If someone invited you to dinner and you accepted would you just not show up, not call, nothing? I know I wouldn't. It always hurts when you think that someone is your friend but friends don't treat each other like that.
After dinner we did tie dye and watched a Madea movie. The tie dye was a lot of fun, Christi had never done it. The second color didn't turn out great, we didn't leave it the die bath long enough. But, it was still fun.
Susan Preston of Visual Voice wrote me a very thought provoking email in response to a comment I made on her blog. I'm going to re-read it and then post it for you guys to read. It was a discussion about the condition of our country.

Maybe you should call them and ask if they are ok.
Perhaps something happened.
Once they tell you that everything is ok, then you know something about them. If something did happen you'll feel better for having called.

Cara, I did call them. The husband and son came on out later but "my friend" never showed up,never called - nothing. He said she had gone shopping and he wasn't really sure where she was???
I'm still trying to think about some ways to help Mama Earth from your earlier blog post. You've got me thinking. :)
Glad your Easter went well and I'm sorry about your friend. Weirdness.
