Mark and Levi are working in the studio today. The band is Ruff Cutt, a local red dirt band that sometimes opens for Kevin Pickett & Southern Rain. They worked yesterday from about 2:00 til midnight. Today they started at 10am, I am hoping they will quit before the game starts, but, you just never know. Mark wouldn't if it were up to him because he could care less about football.

Summer if finally over! What a relief. The nights are getting cooler and the days are so much better. It has been low 90's to mid 80's this week.

I have started buying a few things for Christmas, wanting to space it out over the next 4 months so it doesn't hit us so hard. I have my wish list made, pretty much. At least I know what I am buying the babies and the rest of them, other than Emily, don't really count at Christmas time.

Some friends of ours have asked if they could get married out here and, of course, I am thrilled that they asked. They are coming out for dinner in a couple of weeks so we can plan and discuss. It will be very small, just us and them. They have been living together for a couple of years now and have an 18 month old baby girl. I guess they decided to make it legal. I would like to at least do a wedding brunch, but, I will let them tell me what they want to do. Having adult children is forcing me to not try to take control :)

While I have been sitting here typing my brother has pulled in with Mother's car. I suppose his sorry ass kids left it up to him to take care of it (no matter that he was probably several states away in his truck).
I'm glad that he brought it back home.
