We had a really fun time in Shawnee this weekend. It is close to home,an hour and fifteen minutes to get there. It is not a big town but bigger than Ada and has things we don't have. We ate lunch at McAlisters, a very cool deli/sandwich shop. It was good food, too expensive in my opinion but good. At least I didn't feel like we threw our money away. Then we hit the mall. We looked at almost every store, did some actual shopping in a few and spent time sitting in the massage chairs in the mall. Then ice cream, I don't eat ice cream hardly ever so I had an iced coffee. Then to the Super K.Mart where I bought Zoe a high chair I had spotted online and a few more things for the birthday girl. By then we were all getting tired so we went back to our motel to rest and watch a movie. It was the first time we have ever stayed at a Hampton Inn. The rooms were spotlessly clean (1st thing I look for) and the beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a motel. We had adjoining rooms, the girls in one room, guys in the other except I went over to the boys room to watch a movie with Mark and Seth stayed with Em. But, she and I stayed up late and had a fun slumber party. We had a late dinner, nine o'clock, and then a walk.
This morning Mark ran his normal route from the motel and then came back to pick us up to come home.
Tonight when Levi got home we had cake and ice cream and opened presents.
Ms. Emily is a happy girl tonight.
