I have two more miracle stories that I want to write, then I'll stop. I could go on and on with stories of the many blessings and miracles over the 24 years since I became a Christian, but these have been some of the ones that stand out in my mind as the most miraculous, unexplainable stories.
I could also fill many pages with stories about the times my prayers have not been answered, times when I felt like God let me down, abandoned me in my neediest of times.
I have to wonder why it's like that, how and why does God choose to answer some but not all??
But, then perhaps it is not for me to understand.

Six months after Mark and I were married we were living here where we live now. One night he had been out walking on our walking trail, praying. When he came in I was already in bed. He told me he had something he had to tell me...
He told me that while he was out praying, God had told him to build a cross, gave him very specific dimensions for it, and that he was going to carry this cross and walk across the United States.
I thought he had gone way too far with this God thing, he had lost his freakin' mind and there was no way in hell he was going to leave me to go do it.
I rolled away from him and didn't say a word.... for about two days.
He built the cross.
I was furious.
A couple of weeks later we were going to a rally at the First Baptist Church in Ada where some TV evangelist was preaching and there was going to be a "walk for Jesus" where people from all over the area were going to meet and walk thru Ada.
Mark told me he was supposed to take his cross.
I told Mark that if he took that stupid cross I would not go with him.
He gave in to me.
When we got to the location where everyone was supposed to meet before the rally there were about 300 to 400 people milling around, talking, waiting to get started. We were kind of out in the middle of the crowd chatting with some people we knew.
We looked up and there was an older man pushing through the crowd in a hurry towards us. Neither one of us had ever seen this man.
He walked up to Mark and said....
"God told me to build a cross (and he proceeded to give Mark the exact dimensions that God had given Mark) and bring it tonight and
YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CARRY IT!!!!!!
I just threw my hands up in the air and said, "Okay, God, I give up."

Amazing! It's more than a little funny that after Mark gave in to you and didn't take the cross, one ended up there anyway.
Sandy, yeah, and the really weird thing was that we had never seen the man before and he picked Mark out of a crowd of 3 - 400 people and told him that he was supposed to carry it.
Did your jaw drop?
