Are gas prices killing you guys??

I've been looking this morning at websites, getting email addresses for Oklahoma politicians so I can start sending letters complaining about the prices.

Mark runs a tool route on Monday's, he drives about 300 miles round trip, that's a tank of gas at $60.00+. It cost Levi $75.00 to fill up this week and Christi $50.00 - that is $120.00 this week for them just to be able to go to work. Levi has put his big truck up for sale.

It just sucks that the big oil companies are allowed to rape us like this.

On a brighter/lighter note, the weather here has been beautiful this week - a little cooler, although we've not had any rain and could use some.

I'm still working on the pool, having trouble with it. It is still green and cloudy. I'm beginning to think the algaecide I bought at Walmart (I really know better)was no good. I'm going to swing by the pool place today and pick up some.

I received the first of the books I ordered, "Tell me a Riddle" by Tillie Olsen. I've read the first story about her daughter, it was hard for me to read. Parenting is just such a sucky job.. you do the best you can, knowing that you will make mistakes. You pour out your freakin' life for 18+ years and then they just leave you, expect you just to let them go and don't interfere in their lives anymore unless they want you to.... it's a heart breaking deal all the way around with few benefits. My advice to young women would be- DON'T HAVE ANY!!

Well, I'm off to finish watering my flowers, start school, do some mowing, take Mother to the grocery store, do the laundry, clean a little (I've got to sweep the floors today), load stuff up to take to the Salvation Army, bath Emily, take Seth to youth, go do our Walmart shopping....

What's on your agenda for today?

Gas prices do suck! Luckily David gets reimbursed for his milage with his new job. If not he wouldn't be woking here. He's spending around $100 a week on gas.
