Equinox

An equinox in astronomy is the event when the Sun can be observed to be directly above the Earth's equator, occurring around March 20 and September 23 each year. More technically, the equinox happens when the Sun is at one of two opposite points on the celestial sphere where the celestial equator and ecliptic intersect. In a wider sense, the equinoxes are the two days each year when the center of the Sun spends an equal amount of time above and below the horizon at every location on Earth. The word equinox derives from the Latin words aequus (equal) and nox (night).

And, how did you celebrate spring's arrival??

I bought shoes, red shoes. In fact I bought two pair of red shoes, one red leather flats, the other red and white striped canvas flats and... three pairs of cheap flip-flops and... Em some princess shoes (black with lots of shiny beads) and some pink flip-flops and.... Seth some flip-flops (not cheap).

Tomorrow we will be headed to Dallas. We are going to Medieval Times dinner and theater
tomorrow night and then back home on Friday. I'm thinking about asking Mark to drive over to the Ft. Worth botanical gardens Friday morning, but, we'll just see how the morning goes. That will be our spring(break) fling.

I'll see you guys when I get back.
