It has just been the shittiest of days.

The weather continues to be cold, dreary and depressing. I really just don't know how you guys in the northern regions stand this every year.

On Saturday, of course when I could do nothing about it, I received a notice from the bank that I was 12 days late on our house payment.... not only was I not late but made it 18 days early. I make it early every month, I've never been late on it, never missed a payment. And, I had to wait until today to get it straightened out. Our banker was not in today so I had to talk to a woman who I did not know and it did not go well. She offered to pull up all the records so I could come in and see where "my mistake" was - I told her I didn't need to look at the records, she did because it was not my mistake. It ended in her agreeing to turn it over to the credit department for investigation.

And, in the same stack of mail received a statement for Discover Card services that they had charged us 10.00 to send us a paper statement, that I did not request.
Guess which credit card company we no longer use??

Emily woke up in the night hacking and coughing. I couldn't get her awake enough to take medicine so I put the vaporizer in her room and stayed with her until she started breathing better. She's feeling pretty crappy today but I was able to give her decongestant so at least she can breath.

The only good thing about today has been being able to curl up and read. I am thoroughly enjoying To Kill a Mockingbird, just sorry it took me so long to decide to reread it. I'm down to two books left in my stack, unless the weather breaks soon I will be buying more books before long.

Any suggestions?

The lady from the bank called me right before closing time to tell me that they had spent the entire day researching our account and it seems that I was right. hmmmmm....
