Seasonal affective disorder...yeah, it sucks. Happens a lot up here in the Northwest. I find exercise helps most (and a sun box, if you can afford it)!
Seasonal Affective Disorder has been my friend for about 15 years now.
I have a sun box but don't use it. I have prosac and I take it. I sleep alot in the winter. I am manic in the summer.
I love that my life is 'cushy' enough to notice it. I could be the wife of a drunken opium addict in Afghanistan who beats me and makes me wear a burqua.
jen - what part of arizona are you thinking about? i would guess the hot desert part, right? i would love to at least visit the mountains there around flagstaff
CV - yeah, it's like that in Oklahoma, too. There are lots of days that I won't let the kids swim during the day, during the hottest part of the summer we swim at night.

I know I have it. I am just like CV. Which is why I'm moving to Arizona as soon as my daughter leaves home.
My hubby and I have it to some extent also, but it has not been rearing its ugly head much here in FL. BUT I do not want to stay here!!

I'll pass on Arizona.
I am not living ANYWHERE that it gets too hot to swim.
I talk to people regularly from there, and in the summer time the heat is so bad that their pools get too hot to use.
PASS.
