I thought this was so funny - I found it when I searched for "hippies" on art.com

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most people, from the time they are very young, dream about what they will be "when they grow up".
But, have you ever thought about what you want to be when you get old?
I am what I wanted to be - a wife, a mom and all the things that go along with that..
these days I'm thinking about what I will be when I'm an old woman. I have a vision of me being free. Maybe wearing long flowing skirts and batik shirts with long silver hair and barefoot working in my garden, or doing yoga outside in the sunshine or hell, maybe even dancing naked under a full moon.
I envision myself as a wise woman,like the elder women in native american tribes, a woman respected for her age and experience, a woman who knows herself and knows how to be connected to the divine. A woman with much to give.
I have visions of me owning and operating a retreat for women.
What I don't want to be is alone. I love solitude but I never want to be all alone.
Maybe it's because of our age difference (although I don't think of you as "old"), but I already see you this way, Aola.
Yeah, I was going to the say same thing. Look at all of us coming to watch you live, listening. I'll get you the skirts.
What a sweet post! I too think you are already there. I want to live in a log cabin in the woods and have a garden and sleep under the stars with my soulmate. OR at least have a big skylight in our bedroom. I want to still be fit enough to hike around with my hubby.
Exactly what everyone else said. I don't picture you as "old", but you are the wise woman we all gather around to learn from. Since Becky is getting the skirts I'll get the batik shirts for you.
I don't think you will ever be alone. A womans retreat sounds splendid.
and Cheri - yea, that's a big one for me too - to stay fit enough to enjoy my later years.
