The pretty weather was short-lived. I just checked weather.com and our 10 day looks so dreary.

I have daffodils all over the yard peeking up out of the ground, the next few warm days we have (which looks to be about 2 weeks away) I am sure they will start blooming.

What a welcome sight that will be.

Levi (crazy, crazy kid) bought himself a new truck today, well, not new new but new to him.. you know what I mean...

A 2004, white, Chevy Silverado, 2500 series, heavy duty with a 396 (he better hope gas prices stay down). That's my Levi - never half way do anything.
I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Emmy is such a funny girl. She doesn't and never really has played with toys or dolls. She has tons of them and occasionally she takes some of them out and plays but not often and not for long ...except one and she doesn't really play with it. It's the Barbie Mermaid Fantasy doll, the bottom half is made of a soft rubbery kind of material. If you squeeze her hips her tail flips back and forth and for some reason that squeezing motion calms Emily. (like a worry stone kind of thing). She keeps her mermaid in her hand, working it constantly, all the time.

Mattel quit making them a couple of years ago. For a while I could still get them at Walmart but now the only place I can find them is on ebay and they are getting harder and harder to find and more and more expensive. I bet over the last 5 years I have bought 20 of them or more. The tail fell off her current one last night so I've had to buy another one off ebay... $30.00!! and there were only two on all of ebay.
You can never find the pink haired mermaid which was her favorite, only the orange haired one but she will do.

If you ever see one, anywhere, for a decent price buy it and I will buy it from you.

Maybe I should write Mattel and tell them they will just have to start making them again... Because Emily wants one.

I understand about that... my daughter has several tactile items she keeps handy to calm her nerves in class. In one room, her desk has a strip of velcro underneath that she can play with, and so forth. I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for it and send it your way if I happen to find one!

I'll keep that in mind for Emily.

I think Erin might have one of these that she doesn't play with. I'll check and if she does I'll send it to you. Anything for Miss Em!
