Life lessons

The Leeland Band

Mark and Seth have gone today to set up and mix sound for this band. I had never heard of them but then I don't keep up with "Christian" bands anymore. They are supposed to be pretty good.

Of course, I let Seth skip school to go with his Dad. He asked me if we would have to do make up work on Saturday and I told him that today's life lesson counted as much as working out of his books, probably more.
He has declared that he is going to be the best drummer ever. He wants to go to college and get a degree in music, maybe go to Nashville and be a studio drummer - so hanging out today with a bunch of young, successful musicians,is a very big lesson.

Emily and I went out to lunch together and we will go later to take the guys out for dinner and then stay for the concert.

Oh and I forgot to tell you that Seth also started drum lessons this week. He was so excited. His Dad and his new teacher said he did great.

I think my son likes this band. I am not sure , I can't keep up with all his music. He pretty much only listens to CC misic (except for Weird Al)and he loves writing Christian parodys to the secular stuff. He is really good at it and may have some recorded in the future.

The band certainly has "the look" down and that is a better start than most.=)

thanks for your comments A...
I am not always aware of myself in positive ways. I am super-aware of my weaknesses. Thanks.

I agree. Very cool picture. Something kind of Beatle-esque about it.
