I felt like such a babe tonight. I don't get out much (boy, that's an understatement) so I take these rare opportunities to dress up. Tonight I wore my best jeans and layered a black tank under an off-white lace shirt and wore a fitted black jacket and low heeled black pumps. I even fixed my hair a little and wore make-up... it's always so fun to see my sweet, sweet husband's reaction when I dress up.
He makes me feel like I'm the prettiest woman in the room and honestly, in his eyes, I think I am. (he sees me as if I'm still 25 - not 52).

The concert was fun.
The first band was a local band which is always my favorite because they are fresh and excited and think that it is just the greatest thing in the world to have a professional sound man and a decent sound system. They are always polite and ready to help haul equipment or anything you want them to do as long as you let them play.
The national acts have proven to me over the years that most of them are nothing but arrogant assholes.

The first band, Script, rocked the house. The lead singer really needs to exercise more because by the 3rd song (very high energy band) he could barely breathe much less talk or sing.

Then Elijah Tyndale, funniest man in Oklahoma, took the stage and wowed the crowd with his bathroom humor. The guy is funny. The teenage boys in the room were practically rolling in the aisles.

Then came Leeland. We listened to the first part of the first song and were ready to go. We had been there a couple of hours, Em and I were both ready to leave, we weren't crazy about the music, so, we left.
I stopped by Java Daves and picked up a mocha cappuccino and we came home and put on our jamas.

Ahh, I love home.

Mark called when the show was over and said they did put on a really good show.He also told me that the guys were nice guys and easy to work with.
He was having a lot of feedback trouble with them but finally discovered the problem was a bad diaphragm in one of their mics and fixed it. The mans a genius.

Having just entered the single life again after being with a jerk for the past decade, it amazes me now when guys hit on me when I’m out. Why we do let ourselves be convinced that we are old and fat and ugly? To hell with that! We are sexy, vibrant women, no matter our age or weight or if we think we’re having a bad hair day.

Jen, you are neither old nor fat.. you look like you're 20 and you are beautiful.

As far as I'm concerned most men don't know jackshit about beauty.
