How about a Zoe update this morning?
I wonder how she will react to new baby boy that is about to arrive on the scene? I wonder if she will just step up and become the big sister the way Levi did when Em was born? or will she revert back to acting more like a baby? my hope is that she just doesn't hurt him :) She is a wild child.
I love that about her, in fact I encourage it daily! She is becoming more and more independent and able to do so many things and, of course, I just sit around and marvel at her ability. I love to watch her problem solve.
I watched her last night as she was trying to figure out how to carry her new broom and make it down the step. I taught her months ago to turn around backwards and crawl down the (concrete) steps between living room and dining room. It's a little hard to do carrying a broom... so, she reached over laid the broom down on the bottom step, turned and crawled down, picked up the broom, repeated that action and was off to Aunty Em's room.
We were sitting together in one of the recliners in Aunty Em's room watching something on Disney that a catchy beat.. in a about 30 seconds of watching she picked up the beat and was tapping it out on my leg. She was very close to "on-time" with it, too.
She says a LOT of words.. and can parrot almost anything. So, if you are ever here and you hear Zoe Beth walking around the house saying "OH, crap" you know where she got it.
She can tell you where eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, ears are. She feeds herself, although, that is a messy business for sure. She drinks out of a cup with a straw now.
Levi and Christi bought her a potty chair, she went pee in it the first time they sat her on it and ASKED to use it the next morning. So, this should be easy.
As you can tell I am more in love with her than ever and can't wait every day for her to come over to play.
In fact I may just go get her in a minute so we can play outside this morning.
It's a beautiful day.
