Up before anyone else, determined not to disturb a sleeping house, I got my first cup, slipped on my coat and decided it was worth braving the cold to be able to breath some fresh air even if it was for just a minute.

To my surprise I was greeted with moderate temperature and even though it is still cloudy and dreary looking I was thrilled to be able to actually enjoy sitting in my chair down by the little pond to drink my coffee.

I took a short walk down to the dog pen and around the yard making a mental list of the many springtime projects that lay ahead of me which makes me oh so happy to think about all the hours I will be outside. *mental note - I need to buy some new sneakers

I saw the hopeful signs of spring all over my yard, spring bulbs pushing their blades of green up through layers of dead decaying dirty brown leaves. Daffodils, Naked Ladies, Narcissus, Hyacinth, Sunny Twinkles just to name a few.

Oh happy day!!

I'm not going to tell you that our winter is over. I'm afraid to say it out loud for fear of six more weeks of winter.

But, I have my fingers crossed and Phlox on my Walmart list.

The sun is out here and that always makes me hopeful, but we are supposed to have another winter storm tomorrow. UGH! I am so ready to be outside. I've already determined that I will walk every day this summer!
