We are definitely in the lazy-days-of-summer mode around here, well, everyone but Mark. The kids and I stay up all hours of the night and sleep in every morning. Sleeping in to me is somewhere between nine and ten o'clock for the kids it is usually sometime after noon.

The weather here has just been miserable, high temperatures and super high humidity. In another few weeks the temperatures will go way up and the humidity will go down because we will stop getting any rain, or at least that is the norm. At least there won't be so many bugs and there won't be so much mowing to do. For me July and August are just something you suffer through each year.

My garden looks beautiful, it is not producing much, but looks really pretty. I am getting a few squash and green beans and I've picked a couple of small cucumbers. I have lots of fresh dill, wish those cucumbers would come on. I love fresh cucumber dip made with sour cream and fresh dill.

Levi and I decided to do a brunch for Father's Day since they will be going to Christi's family's for Sunday afternoon and supper. I am making:

cinnamon rolls
fresh strawberries
potato and cheese frittata topped with bacon
steamed asparagus
sliced tomatoes

sounds yummy,huh?

I have had a cough for about 3 or 4 weeks now that is just driving me crazy. I keep thinking it must be allergies/sinus drainage but mucinex or sudafed don't touch it. I have to suck on cough drops all the time or I am coughing and gagging. I have made a doctors appointment for Tuesday to see what he says.

What are you guys up to this weekend? Mark is in OKC tonight but will be home the rest of the weekend. I have Gran Torino to watch. I just watched the pilot episode for the new NCIS Los Angeles ... meh. The LA team are just pretty boring no match for Gibbs, Abby or Ducky.

Think I will go play on Farm Town awhile.

Love you guys.

NCIS is my mom's favorite show. :)

Just celebrating birthdays/father's day this weekend. Fun, fun! Our neighborhood had its community garage sale yesterday so I got a few books for Alyssa and some things for the next baby, should we have one.

Your menu sounds good. Tell us how you like Grand Torino.

i have always loved Clint Eastwood so as a die hard fan I liked it. His character is believable, sort of. The other actors were not very good, but, there are enough good parts to make it worth watching.

Your brunch sounds delicious!
We finally planted the garden at grandma's house last week. I'm excited to see it grow.
My tomato plant here is doing well and our little flower garden is growing well. My herbs look fabulous!

I had that same cough. It was an infection of some sort. They put be on some heavy antibiotics, a good cough syrup, and some decongestants. I feel much better now! It took about 5 days for the antibiotics to even touch it and I went through bags of cough drops trying to avoid the pain coughing still causes.

I hope you feel better soon.
