I guess some people don't mind or maybe even like hot weather but I am not one of them. I don't like it at all, not one little bit even.
The hog roast yesterday could have been so much fun, there were some great people there and the food was just outstanding but I can't take the heat when it is 95 degrees with 900% humidity. It just sucks the fun out of everything for me. I have never understood why people plan outdoor activities in Oklahoma from June until at least October, but, they do, lots of them. Poor Ms. Em was just miserable sitting there sweating in her wheelchair. When her little face turned a scary shade of scarlet after being there about an hour and a half I told Mark we had to go. I hated to because I had really looked forward to it.
Zoe feels the same way. Levi and Christi went to a company picnic in the park yesterday and after being there for a couple of hours they had to bring Zoe home and give her a cool bath to calm her down. She slept for three hours after that.
Today Mark went with KP & Southern Rain to a battle of the bands in Texas somewhere. They lost to a local band (these things are always so rigged) but the local radio DJ asked them for their new single and promised to air it... a little good publicity out of the deal made the day better.
The kids and I went to Walmart to do a little shopping and then Levi grilled burgers for us. He and Christi did all the work. I sat and played with Zoe and Emily.
Zoe is sitting up by herself and getting ready to crawl. She is seven months old today.
Seth's hand is healing, it looks pretty good, I guess, if a hand all sliced up with jagged scars and ugly black stitches can look good. The pain is almost gone, today is the first day he hasn't taken pain pills. We are both about tired of him being handicapped. I think the thing he misses is most is drumming and Emily is just pitiful because he can't swim... I'm tired of doing all his work for him.
It just feels good when you make a decision and it turns out to be right! Copper is running and playing again. He walks with a limp and probably always will but watching him not only survive but become playful again makes me happy in my heart. I'm so glad I didn't have him put down that first day. There were times when I thought I'd made a mistake, but, I didn't.
So... how has your weekend been? Watch any good movies?
We watched Bride Wars last night. It was okay. Then we watched the first Transformers movie again - we love that movie.
Hope yours was good.

Oklahoma in the summer makes me cringe! I don't miss that heat at all!
Sorry the pig roast was a bust. :( Tell them to have one in October when it cools down. :)
Lazy weekend here. I did a photo shoot today! I was nervous but it turned out well. :)
I'm glad that I was wrong about your dog. That is why my opinions are always humble.
The heat is so oppressive. I do hate the heat. Plus the fact that at night in OK it cools down to 98 or so.
Glad to hear about Copper. :)
That is so wonderful about Copper!!!
