The rest of our week was rainy and chilly. We needed the rain, but, I am ready for some more sunny and warm days.
I found Calla Lily bulbs at Sams cheaper than anywhere I had looked so I bought them. I didn't have any color choice but for my first try at raising them the mixed bag will be okay. From what I've read they won't winter-over here but I will try covering them with deep mulch and see what happens because I have no use for wimpy flowers... they have to be hardy to survive at my house.

Mark is in Oklahoma City tonight at a biker bar. I didn't forbid Seth from going but I told him I didn't like the idea of him being there. He said "well, then, I'll just stay home" no fussing, no fighting, no problem. He's such a good kid. I really don't mind the cowboy bars or the college bars too much because I know the guys in the band watch out for him, but, a biker bar is too much. I told Mark that it wasn't necessarily his safety that worried me but the fact that he is 15 years old and it is still my responsibility to protect him from being exposed to certain things.

Seth is completely finished with his Language Arts/Literature curriculum so I told him we would finish out the year with just reading. He wanted to read the Spiderwick books so I ordered them. We are flying thru them. They are a fun and easy to read. He's also finished with Algebra. The only thing we have left to finish is Science and History. We will be doing Drivers Ed all summer, just the driving part, he's finished with all the book work. So, our year is almost over. It went really fast this year, can't believe he will be a junior in high school next year - Wow!

It's strange to think that my job as a Mom is almost done. I've been raising kids since I was 17 years old, that's 37 years. Wow! That's a long time to be at any job. I think I might retire soon.
