ahhh... it was warm today.
We have had below freezing weather for the last couple of nights. I'm glad I didn't have anything up in my garden, no plants to die. My yard didn't all die but looks wilted and some leaves are frostbitten and brown looking.
I planted red, yellow, and green bell peppers, and three kinds of squash this morning. My garden is almost full. I will do tomatoes and okra in a few weeks and that is it for this year.
I took my BP yesterday morning and it was 180/119.. that is close to stroke level, so, I gave in and went to the clinic. By the time I saw the doctor it was down some but still too high. So, I finally gave in and asked him to prescribe a blood pressure medication. He was a little confused about why it bothers me to take prescription medication and I know he doesn't understand my feelings about all things natural. It is better today. I am going to keep doing all the things I know to do and am hoping that this summer when my activity increases I can lose a little weight and hopefully I won't have to stay on the medication forever. But, if I do, that's okay too.
Jason and Charity are coming out Friday night with new baby girl, Abigail Kezia to have supper with us. I thought it would be a good time to fix Easter dinner. I had asked to take a meal to them, but, they wanted to come out here. Charity had an amazingly easy time with delivery and is doing great. She slept through most of the contractions, she was in labor for less than four hours and when it was time to deliver she did it in one push. that's kind of unfair to the rest of us who had to suffer thru labor and delivery :) but great for Charity!
Well, Levi is wanting to use my computer to go play Mafia Wars on FB.

I'm sorry about the blood pressure medication. I'm still on Labetelol and not too happy about it, but it is what it is.
It snowed here yesterday and we woke to a layer of snow. How strange. It all melted by mid morning thankfully.
Your garden makes me jealous! Take some photos when things start to come up?
I'm sorry that you have to start taking a prescription against your natural health judgment; however a stroke is just not worth the risk.
I was taking propranolol for migraine prevention, and didn't notice any side effects. It's pretty mild, and did help my blood pressure.
