Seth and I were back at the dermatologist this morning. The chemical peel did a little good but no dramatic results like we were hoping for. Today we saw a new doctor, she wanted to put him back on things we had already tried. I said NO. Even though she looked at me like "who the hell are you?" she changed what she prescribed. She wanted to just give him a topical ointment. I said that's not enough. She wanted to put him on Bactrim, an antibiotic we have already tried. I said it won't work. Finally she prescribed him a new antibiotic that has had good results with acne (the tech had told me about it last time we were there). The prescription cost $661.80!!!!!!! my co-pay was 25.00 thank goodness or he wouldn't have gotten it. She also prescribed a topical gel that I did not fill. She gave me a few samples to try first.
We will see.

I hope that the prescription works. That's an insane price for the drug.
I'm sure you've tried this being the herbalist you are, but I thought I'd throw it at you any way. Chickweed? make a tea and use it as a cleanser for the face.
