It has been a beautiful day today. I have spent most of it outside piddling around in the yard. I transplanted some flowers from one bed to another, picked up limbs, raked the yard and picked up all the bones our dogs have dragged in. Our yard looks like a bone yard most of the time. I usually let them keep the bones but I draw the line when they bring home a whole dead animal.
The irises are starting to bloom as the daffodils die out. The bushes, hot pink, pale pink, and yellow are in full bloom. The white ones, Spirea and Mock Orange, haven't started yet. I have a little wild violet that looks just like an African violet when it first comes up and blooms, later on they get kind of ugly and weedy looking but right now they are so pretty. In the secret garden there is vinca growing under all the cedar trees and it is also blooming a violet color. My new hosta is looking good, the new day lilies not so good. I planted a few new Sweet Williams in the bed in front to fill in a blank spot where they have died out.
I really want to get some phlox this year. I don't have any and I'm not sure why because I love it. And, I have to check on those cala lilies.
The kids played games all day... I would like to gripe at them for being such couch potatoes but they are all grown up so I left that alone.
I gave Zoe some mashed up bananas this afternoon, it was her first solid food. She loved it. (I asked her Mom before I did it)
We also put her in her walker for the first time tonight. Lots of new firsts. After seeing Sandra's video of Hayden in his jumperoo I want to get Zoe one, it looks like such fun. Christi took some video of her in the walker; I asked Levi to upload it to youtube so I could post it on here. ... maybe he will do it.
I'm off to facebook a little, it is fun but I still prefer blogging.

Our forsythia is just starting to bud;your garden activity already increases my longing to see some color. Zoe with bananas? How awesome is that?
Hope we get to see the video soon! :)
I think we need some pictures of your garden in bloom!
I want pictures and videos too! :)
So I bought all the stuff to grow some herbs and we picked up a few flowers, but it's still a little too cold to plant anything. I'm trying to be patient. :)
