Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. To hope is to wish for something with the expectation of the wish being fulfilled, a key condition in unrequited love. Hopefulness is somewhat different from optimism in that hope is an emotional state, whereas optimism is a conclusion reached through a deliberate thought pattern that leads to a positive attitude

I like this post, also want to comment on the one from Friday.

Let's take a trip back in time to the 1960's - 70's. Racism was rampant, the Vietnam war was upon us, it seemed as if this country would come apart. We hated African-Americans, we hated the brave men who fought to help those in need across the Atlantic ocean. There were hippies and then there were the conservatives, we could go on forever with the lists.
Since the beginning of this country there have always been the opposing parties, it's the price we pay for democracy and free speech. But despite the racism, the war, the depression of the 30's the Civil War for God sakes, this country still stands.
What everyone seems to forget is that this country is only 200 years old, one of the youngest in this world. We consider ourselves so advanced and ahead of everyone else that we forget about the growing pains that every nation has had. Look at China, their empire has been around for thousands of years and they are just now playing a major roll in the world policy, just now "united".
True unity is a Utopian state that exists only in our minds. Sometimes I think Gods greatest gift, free will, was his only and biggest mistake. But I thank him everyday for it.
In the long run, this country and it's people will make it through it all. Some will love were it goes, others will not. However, as long we are true to ourselves and keep our own faith, we can handle anything.
