Friday already??
Gosh, this week has just flown by and now our spring break is over.
We didn't do anything special, in fact, we didn't do much at all, but, it was nice to have a break from school and I'm sure Seth would agree with me.
It has been rainy and dreary here all week. We need the rain but I could use a little sunshine now. It is supposed to get worse (colder) this weekend instead of better though. We are expecting freezing temperatures Saturday night. So much for all those early gardens people have put out.
Zoe has a doctor appointment this morning. I'm eager to find out how much she has gained.. she is growing so fast. This week she has tried banana and sweet potatoes. She loves them both. Her little personality is forming, she's a charmer but I do see a lot of Levi in her ... so watch out world!
The state of our nation keeps me on the edge of depression, the state of my bank account is just scary. I had to dip into savings this week to cover expenses.
I told Mark this morning that I just don't see our country ever recovering. There is no unity in the United States anymore. No one has any faith left in our government and it is the governments fault for being so corrupt for so long. They have caused people to lose hope and faith and without it we will never recover as a United nation. I had hoped that Obama could bring our nation that hope and change but I sure don't see it happening around here. I just get so sick of hearing people complain about everything all the time. It is the ONE conversation that everyone is talking about all the time... how Obama is single handedly destroying our country. You know he is the anti-christ, right? I actually had a neighbor tell me recently that G.W.B. was not responsible for the mess we are in and that Obama is. I tried to argue with him but decided pretty quickly it was a waste of my time... he was already convinced. I received an email as late as yesterday telling me that Obama isn't even a US citizen... so, how do you like that?
Anyway... it is just depressing and I am to the point of just not caring. Whatever happens will just happen and we will have to deal with it.
Christi brought me a book to read last night so I think I will just spend the day curled up reading it.

It's cold and rainy here too. Blah!
The nation..it will get better. I think a lot of people need this big kick in the ass in order to get them to stop living outside of their means. Sadly, everyone has to pay the price for their greed.
Yeah, definitely a good day for a book.
I don't know where our country is headed, but I do know there are still good people out there (ridiculous emails, etc., notwithstanding).
