We've completed our first full day of lessons and it went well.
Seth is learning to work independently which is totally new for him. I have always worked right along beside him, but, this year, his first year of high school he has to learn to do it on his own.

It makes it a little difficult for me when he does have questions since I'm not working with him I have to pre read all his lessons or else try to catch up with where he is to be able to answer his questions.

but, that's just the way it is.

Our weather is changing. You couldn't say it was cool but it is cooler. The air is definitely not crisp, it's more like soggy but, this gives me hope that fall must be coming soon.

Here it is two days into our school year and I'm already planning fall break. Does that tell you something about my stinko attitude this year?
I have booked us a cabin in southeastern Oklahoma at Broken Bow Lake/Beavers Bend State Park for two days during the peak of foliage season and I CAN'T WAIT. I'm ready to pack my camera and go.

I'm on the 6th Harry Potter book, I've slowed down on my reading because I'm not anxious to finish them. I always hate it when it's over....
I just wish The Order of the Phoenix would come out on DVD.

Oh, I decided to wait on the boots. I didn't like them $150.00 worth. I'll find something else a little more in my price range.

Okay - I'm off to read a while.

I am reading HP #6 too....

Do you read books over and over again? I do if they are good. I read the Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood and it's second book a couple of times, but I had that same feeling of hating to finish the book because it was so good.

Galileo's Daughter was so good. I cried at the end...
Year of Wonders was also a good book. I love books dipped in or based on history.

Did you read my last little bit I wrote in your post about Bubba?

Have a good Day,

C

I think it's good to have a vacation to look forward to. :) It's been soggy here, too, but that's normal.

cara - only if it's been a while and then I can't really remember what I had read until I read it again - one of the perks of old age :)

and - yes, I did. Thanks.

I LOVE Broken Bow! We used to camp there once a year when I was a kid. I have really fond memories of breakfast by campfire. :)
I would have waited on the boots too! I am sure you'll find a good deal on those or a pair just like them soon. Last season I got a pair of boots that were normally $150 for $50 around the last week of October.
