The weekend just whizzed by... I finished the fourth Harry Potter book and watched the Goblet of Fire. The movies are so much better after reading the books. I've started the 5th book today.
Levi and I attempted making hot rolls yesterday - fiasco. My mother used to make the best hot rolls you ever tasted, oh, my, gosh they were good - melt in your mouth good. I never bothered to learn how to make rolls since she was so very good at it. I came across her recipe the other day while cleaning so Levi and I decided to try it. They didn't turn out so good. We will have to try again.
"Our" church had a block party Saturday night that Mark volunteered to set up our PA for. Em and I went up about 6:00 in the evening and hung out until the first band started at 9:00. The band was sooo bad, I just left. (I was more than ready to leave)
I used the opportunity to take my camera and practice with my people pictures. I'm not good with people pictures. I will post some of the one I took on my photo blog over the next few days - there's not any great ones. Like I said, I need practice with people.
Hope you guys had a good weekend.

I love good home made hot rolls.
People photos that have worked well for me have been taken from far away on a manual setting with a telephoto lens. Reduce down your aperture to selectively focus just on their face and blur out the rest.
The last thing is I take a billion photos. I'll accidentally get 2 good ones.
Johns Gramma make awesome rolls!! I have the receipe and have tried too but they are never quite the same. I'll just have to pratice. It took years before she would share the receipe.
Our weekend was kind of quite, except for babysitting for some friends so they could go on a date. There is not much quiet with 6 kids in the house.
I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures.
RYC-That's the thing...for the next week or so, I don't know if I am pregnant. It's that waiting time, you know, between ovulation and when you can take a test. I could have a little 32-celled organism in there...LOL. I'm probably fine, but too many people have warned me about taking meds...I don't know.
Kristen - okay, so if that's the case I agree 100%. I never took anything while I was pregnant. I even stop drinking coffee!
got my fingers crossed for you :)
I couldn't agree with CV more! Take photo after photo. I take so many and am luck if I get one I like.
