If it weren't for the fact that I hate to ride in the van - I mean my idea of what hell might be like is being trapped in a vehicle, driving forever -
yesterday would have been a really fun day.

Em's dentist appointment took like 10 minutes, a quick cleaning and a good report and we were off.

We had hoped to maybe find a local diner, one of those hidden gems you hear about on Food Network,to try, but, the ladies at the dentist office didn't give us much to go on. They did tell us about one little bar that served a mean onion burger, but, they also said they didn't have any tables, it was just eat at the bar and Em can't do barstools. So, we chose to go to a place we had been to several times before where we knew the food was good.
The new mall is still under construction so we went to the old mall, spending most of our time in Hobby Lobby. Oh, all the glittery pretty things, but, nothing just jumped out at me that I couldn't live without.

We just barely got home in time for Seth to grab a quick shower and then we were off again to take him to youth group while we did our weekly Walmart shopping ... yippeee!!!

Today I am trying to get everything organized and ready to load into the van later so that we can leave early in the morning to take Mother to meet my brother in Missouri. The town we are meeting in has a lot of those little outlet malls. Seth has requested that we go to the one that sells knives, he is a collector. It is supposed to be the largest Case knife dealer in the world, they also sell Chicago Cutlery (I may find Levi's Christmas present while I'm there) and pottery. Should be fun. (if it weren't for the 16 hour drive to get there and back)

Mark has asked me if I want to come back and spend the night in Tulsa Saturday instead of driving all the way home. I told him we'll just have to see how the trip goes. I will probably just want to come on home by then. (but I do love Tulsa).

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I'm glad you enjoyed the day other than the being stuck in the van. That is my least favorite part too. Have a safe trip to MO. I'll miss you while you're gone!

If you ever go anywhere near El Reno, go eat at Johnny's Grill right on the Main Drag in Downtown.
Just great Americana Food.

It's been there since 1946, and they make a wonderful Onion Burger.

My mom ate there when she was in highschool.
