one of my yellow roses
Seth has left the premises...
Mark took him up to the church yesterday morning to meet with his group of friends that were headed to Falls Creek.
Did you know that Falls Creek is the largest youth church camp IN THE WORLD? the whole freakin' world!!
I didn't until this year.
Seth called me after they got landed at the cabin (he wasn't supposed to take his cell phone but I told him to take it and if his youth pastor had a problem with that he could take it up with me).
Seth said the cabin was old and dirty, which really surprised me. The really big Baptist churches own the cabins and you would think that the biggest Baptist churches around would have decent cabins down there.
They just finished spending $24,000,000.00 on a new shiny tabernacle, looks like they could provide a decent place for the kids to stay.
But, then, like Mark said - if they did have really nice cabins the teenagers would probably destroy it.
I thought I would be really pitiful with Seth gone and Mark off on a job all week, but, so far I'm just enjoying the quiet.
I hope my social butterfly has the time of his life and even hope he has a chance to experience a church camp romance.
Shameful, aren't I??

Church camp romances are the best! (Had a few myself...ah, the stories I could tell...)
Enjoy the peace while you can. :)
Church camp romances...never had one. I was way to shy for that! I envied the girs who were brave enough though.
I know seth will have a great time.
You be good to yourself and take some extra just-for-you-time.
Church camp romances are great! I had a couple. I went to camp every year from 3rd or 4th grade on through high school. My son went to camp and his "cabin" seemed more like a dorm. The true cabin thing makes it feel like camp. One camp I went to we selpt in a big Army tent on cots and still used outhouses. It was a fun experience. I like true camping though.
