Life is good..

I love the smell of clean - clean clothes, clean house, clean kids.

I love paper - any kind of paper, a brown paper bag or fancy stationery, craft paper, or fancy paper bags - it doesn't matter, I just love the feel of paper and trying to imagine something creative to do with it.

I love the Food Network and all the foodie websites out there now, like Chef's catalog or Fabulous Foods.

I love looking at the exotic spices on the baking isle. Did you know a (a, as in ONE)vanilla bean costs almost $10.00? and like a teaspoon of saffron is $15.00?

I love getting a bargain, especially when I'm not expecting it. Like, yesterday when I spent $107.00 on a 2oz. tube of medicine for Seth's face only to come home and find a rebate offer online.

I love the internet. I love doing research about off-the-wall subjects, taking quizzes every night on encarta.com, but most of all my blog pals.

I love books, but, maybe that falls under the category of loving paper or maybe that is in the category of loving words. I love words, I love to study words and their meanings and origins. I love reading words that evoke emotion, words with power, words that make hungry to read more words. Right now I'm loving Kathleen Norris, Dakota was a slow read for me in the beginning, but, the more I read the more I love her, she knows how to use words.

I love leaving the dentists office.
As in this morning I went for the 5th visit to try to get my crowns put on my front two teeth and finding out that once again he was not happy with the way they looked - the color is still off. So, we had to send them back again which means another agonizing visit in a few weeks.

I love the new place I've found down in Amish country that sells the most perfect produce I've ever seen or ate. OH, my, gosh. I bought 10 pounds of perfect tomatoes, plus squash, cantaloupe, watermelon, onions, and honey made right here in Oklahoma and the beekeeper is a woman.

So, tell me what you're loving these days...........

I love digital photography and the new alchemy of photoshop.

I love the internet, the magic of having the entire world at my beck and call instantly. I love that it has brought me 5 new friends I would have never known.

I love being 41.

I love that my big boy nephew called me yesterday just to talk, and play the piano for me.
