the earth is full
full to overflowing
and what can't be absorbed
is standing in puddles, waiting
the grass is thick and green and wet
wildflowers blooming
butterflies busy fluttering by
new birds I've never seen before
making themselves at home in our abundant fields of green
it's best to enjoy this
the cool days
the endless rain
the puddles
the sheer wetness of it all
because after all this Oklahoma
and it won't last

I'm glad you are taking it in stride and trying to see the good in it. I can't imagine this much rain in OK. I've only known the summers as hot and humid.

My deck plants curse me even though I water them twice a day.
