I have four New York strip steaks in a butter, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and garlic marinade. I have two more steaks, rib eye that I will put in a bourbon and coke marinade about two hours before we grill.
The two cheesecakes are done and looking mighty fine, cooling, so that I can put them in the fridge soon.
My Mom owns an original set of Fiesta ware which I borrowed along with her matching table cloth.
I have my new pitcher out and ready to fill with frozen margaritas later.
The shrimp is thawing. The scallops along with a salad will done last minute.

And tonight we will celebrate Levi.

What do you say about Levi?

He was a precocious child, could repeat his ABC's at age 2, learned to read at 4, strong willed, and independent.
He had an edge to his personality that sometimes made me want to strangle him (and still does). Witty and smart mouthed, he was the child that would never say "bunny", he would just look at me like I was stupid and tell me they were called rabbits. I was never Mommy or Mama, just MOM.

At 20 he's still pretty much that same kid. He does have a soft emotional side (somewhere in there) but most people never see it. He's good, he's fair, he's honest to a fault. He's a good husband and a wonderful provider.

At 12 years old he did a man's job working for his Dad. At 16 he owned his own business. At 18 he walked into a high tech job and became their number one employee and now at 20 they are training him for a supervisor position where he will be over 4 guys much older than he is.

Sometimes I would like to strangle him but most of the time I look at him with such pride and joy that my heart feels like it could burst.

We bought him an acoustic guitar for his birthday, Christi bought him two new cookbooks (Cooking Light and the Food Networks stars).
