After a very lazy day yesterday of doing much of nothing, oh, I did watch "Music and Lyrics" which was a cute movie. I like Drew Barrymore a lot, about 4:30 Ms Em and I got our showers, picked out clothes put on our make up and did our hair so we could go to the concert at ECU.
I really hate the place it was held in, I mean, the auditorium is nice but the only handicapped access is this horrible, steep, long ramp. I cannot push Em up it and can just barely take her down it - hanging on for all I'm worth to keep her from getting away from me.

We got there early enough to visit with everyone involved in the show. The Lee family - Lauren Lee & Liberty Road - are a great bunch of people and a lot of fun to be around. Lauren plays a mean fiddle, Sawyer, her brother, plays guitar, their Dad, Robbie, plays percussions. They did a great job last night. I got to hear several of their new songs that will go on the next CD that we will start in the fall.
The concert was a CD release party for The Bloodwashed Blues Band. They were awesome.
About 4 songs into TBBB I had to leave though. Ms Emily was starving and I couldn't put her off any longer.
She and I went to Mazzio's, she can be such a delight (when she wants to be). She acted so grown up and we had a blast eating together.
Then we went back to the concert to catch the last song and visit some more while the guys loaded out.

I had a really good time.

We slept in today and have once again done pretty much nothing...

We watched "Doom" this afternoon. I got pretty bored with all the zombie killing after awhile and it was gross, but, face it - we don't watch that kind of movie expecting some great inspiring work we watch to see The Rock kick ass - and he did.

So, how was your weekend?

Good weekend. I got a lot of cleaning done. I put it all off thinking I didn't need to do it since we were moving.
Sounds like you had a great weekend too!
I love The Rock. :)

I love The Rock, too. :) Big crush.

I went and picked up J at the airport late Saturday. His flight was two hours late, but he got bumped to first class so that was nice. :) Spent yesterday being lazy since J is sick. Off to the gym and some grocery shopping now...

The Blues band was really good! Steve's been telling everyone what great musicians they are. We had to sneak out early because the kids were getting restless and hungry. It was good to see you!

Yeah, like Kelly said...they were awesome. I work with John's cousin Alan, you know. He is sure proud of him. He's an awesome guitarist. We had to leave after just a couple of their songs, but I'm glad we got to drop in!
