Summer projects have begun!!
Next week is our last week of school, with very little left to do except use up the last of our 180 days.
Today I started sorting the school stuff into boxes, old readers to be taken to the Salvation Army, things to kept for next year boxed up and stored until the new cabinet is built.
After next week I will pull out the shelves and paint the dining room, rip out the carpet and paint the floor. It is a horrible old concrete floor in need of too much repair, so, I am going to paint it with black concrete paint and cover it with a room sized rug (only the edges of the floor will show). The stairs will have to be pulled out, steps replaced and painted, but, I want to keep the original staircase my Dad built.
Today we pulled the cover off of the pool - that was a job in itself! - and started the tedious job of cleaning the pool. I dumped 6 gallons of chlorine bleach into it and am filling it now. Next will come the algacide, then the shock, and days and days of vacuuming before it will finally be clean.
I sat down last night and drew up a sketch for us to enlarge our bathroom, put in a regular shower and a whirlpool tub - all things to aid Ms. Em. We have an old claw foot tub now with shower that gets harder and harder for her to climb into.
And, I ordered 4 books off my reading list today.
If we get this much finished this summer I will feel like we have done a lot!!
A lot of you guys are off on new adventures this summer. I'm excited for all of you -Chris and Erica moving on to a new freer life, Nate and Becky have big plans that will change their lives, Sandra and David leaving California to start a new life in PA, J and Kristen will probably be expecting their first baby before summer's out, Jen possibly moving to Arizona. New things are stirring in Levi's life, too, but I'm not at liberty to talk about it yet.
I'll be right here at home, doing my thing.
Hope you guys have a good weekend.

I am tired too!! We are getting our house ready this weekend to ofically go on the market on Tuesday. With all they want you to do you basically have to live in a sears catalog version of your home!

I can't wait to be so fixed in one place! My nerves are a wreck from thinking about our move. 3600 miles! AHHHHHHHHHH
Fingers crossed.
I envy your pool, but not the clean-up. Whew. It will be great to have when it's so hot.
Cheri - hope it sells quickly! I guess you guys are headed NW, right?
Erica - I cheated, I called Becky to find out the scoop!
Sandy - shoot - moving to PA will be worth it.
Kristen - it's really not too bad, once you get the initial cleaning done - bound to be good for my arms!
Cara - believe me, I take lots of breaks and have lots of help.
