Okay, I am officially tired now.

I quit.

Well, at least I'm not going to work on the dining room any more today.

I have everything (except one huge corner cabinet)moved out of the dining room. I painted the two steel beams that support the loft with Rustoleum paint to stop the rust (hopefully). I moved all the school stuff to be kept into the storage room. When Seth got up he helped me move the dining room table (8' long, solid maple)into one end of the living room where it will stay until I finish. I did some repair work on the old walls that were a part of the original structure (my Dad's milking room), caulked some holes (until I ran out of caulking), glued some pieces back on.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get Mark to help me with the stairs. I want to take them out(they are removable, if you are really strong)and replace the steps before I paint them, keeping the side pieces of the original stairs my Dad built.

Then I will be painting the ceiling - what fun!!!

I started to take some before photos to show you, but once I got the room cleared out I realized just how nasty it is and would have been embarrassed to show you how awful it actually looked. So, you will only get to see after photos when I'm finished. It's funny how you get where you just overlook the nastiness. I've been saying I was going to redo this room for about 3 years now but could never get Mark to help me (he's always too busy). This year I said "enough", I will just do it myself.

You are one incredible woman. Seriously. I don’t know how you do it. You remind me of stories I’ve read of pioneer women. I want to be you when I grow up.

It's so satisfying... I love to walk into a room that I have finished....

Did you take before and after photos?
