What are you guys up to this weekend?

I am so sick of rain and cold. It has been nasty here for two straight weeks. I haven't been outside more than to walk from the house to the office in days.....and I hate it. A day or two of sunshine would be very welcome.
Right before dark tonight Seth and I decided we had to take Rufus out for a walk, he had been on his chain in his doghouse all day with no relief from the pouring rain. We got soaked to the bone but it still felt good to be outside. We just got warm showers and called it good.

What are you guys watching this weekend? Is anyone going to see "Mimzy" this weekend? Jen has an interesting post about the history of the movie. I'm really looking forward to seeing it when it comes out on DVD.

I've watched "Chocolat" twice already. I watched it yesterday afternoon while I was being pitiful from my dentist visit and again tonight with Mark. He liked it as much as I did and I loved it. How have I not seen this movie before? Thanks to Michelle at La Vie en Rose for suggesting it.

We watched "Flushed Away" earlier in the week. It's cute and funny.

My Mom slipped back into our normal routine without incident. I was afraid we might have some trouble after my brother left to go home, but, she has barely mentioned their visit and by now I'm not sure she even remembers they were here. It didn't take her anytime to just fall back into her normal routine.

I've made a new discovery.
Seth is at the age where he is having trouble with acne. He has the oiliest skin I have ever seen. I mean, he can't even wear a band aid because it won't stick to his skin. We've tried everything. I even let the doctor put him on antibiotics for a while even though it went against everything in me to do it. But, I also know how hard it is for a teen to deal with having horrible skin.
Levi had trouble too, but, we found that Differin (last tube I bought for him cost $106.00 for a 2oz tube) worked for him and he outgrew the problem by the time he was 17. The Differin didn't work for Seth.
I finally, as a last resort, decided to try Proactiv. I am so skeptical about stuff you see advertised on TV but we had tried everything else.
I have to tell - it works. He's been using it a week and his face looks better than it has in a year.

Hope it is sunshiny and warm at your house. Enjoy your weekend!!

One of my best friends in college used ProActiv. He had bad acne as a teen and had been using it since then. He had beautiful skin. You couldn't even tell that he had ever struggled with acne.

I love Chocolat too. Good film.

Erin has an acne problem. I migth give proactive a try now. Of course I think the bigest part of her trouble is that she doesn't wash her face every day like I tell her to.

We are going to see "Disturbia" today. It's cold and rainy here too, but I don't mind. The news has been going on and on about how we are in a drought. Now they'll probably send flood warnings. Stupid California

I use proactive, and it works for me. I wish I had known -- could have saved you some money.

I am working my 12's this weekend... the power market is DEAD. I am making money but it's a long day. My big interesting thing was taking photos of my co-workers mangled toe.

It was really gross.

Dinner, Bed, up at 4 to do it all again tomorrow. and Monday, then off for 6 days. :)

I am with you on the cold and rain!!! It has been absolutely miserable here. Wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the two weeks of sun and high 70s we had last month, making us think winter was over.

I’m glad you found what works for Seth. I was very lucky and never struggled with acne, but I had friends who did and I know how shameful it can be.
