I had asked Mark to bring me home a half dozen more tomato plants today since he would be driving by the greenhouse on his route.
He brought home a dozen tomatoes and one blood red rose. By the time he got home it was threatening rain so I hurried and got them all in the ground - just in time for a good soaking.
Now I have 21 tomato plants.
It was in the low 80's today, then the rain, then back up to the 80's again and very steamy.
I swear after it rained I went back to the garden to make sure the newly planted tomatoes were ok (it hailed just a little)and there were seeds popping up out of the ground - since this morning I have had all my squash plants and a lot of the sunflowers pop up.
It is so cool to watch. I do love playing in the dirt.
My friend Kelly has a new grand baby boy - Devon Isaac, her first grand baby - believe me she doesn't look like a Grandma but I know she will be a great one.
What are you watching these days? I didn't watch not one movie all weekend - sort of jonesing.
I don't really watch much TV, most of it is sooo stupid. I do love the Gilmore Girls though, watch reruns every afternoon at 4:00.
The only show I watch on a regular basis is The Riches with Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard. I love it! little raunchy sometimes but I still love it.
It was good tonight.

I remember planing sunflowers at my grandmas house and practicaly setting up camp to watch them sprout. It always made me so excited!
We rented Dejavu and The Holiday this weekend. Dejavu was a good action movie. It was a little far fetched, but I love DW so it was okay. The Holiday was so cute/sweet/funny. I also have Suzanne's Letters For Nicholas, but I'm not sure I'm going to like it. I'll let you know. :)
We are watching:
Gene Simmons Family Jewels (for such gems as he sneezes into a kleenex and hands it to his wife and says "E-bay")
The Tudors
Scarred
The Stanley Cup Finals
Nascar
The backs of our eyes
I am going to miss my husband's vegetable garden this year, especially the tomatos.
I don't watch anything.
I would love to have a garden!
We do not watch much of anything. We do not have cable. I did watch Wedding Crashers last night while I was waiting for my husband to come home from work. He was involved in getting ready for the Presidents visit to FL,- MacDill AFB, today and did not get home until 10 pm. He did not get to see the President, but did help write some documents that he most likely quoted.
Seeker is the Grandpa to baby Devon, right? He has started posting on his blog again!
McMom - thanks for the heads up on Seeker!
Cheri - yes, he is. I will have to go check out his blog.
That's a lot of tomatoes!
I've been watching The Tudors, Dexter (eeeeewwwwww), and Shear Genius--basically with one eye open on all of those. I can't wait for Project Runway to start again, and one of J's favorite shows is coming back on in July: Eureka on the SciFi Channel.
The 4400 will be back in July on Sci-Fi, too.
