Doing the happy dance

www.art.com

I'm doing the happy dance, my van is paid for!! Yippee!!

I spent a big part of my day researching hybrid cars. I think I've narrowed it down to the Honda Civic hybrid or the Toyota Prius.

We started one of our summer projects today. We started tearing out the interior of the bus. I designed a set of bunk beds for Mark to build (I come up with the idea - he figures out how to build it)that will fit in place of the pull-out sofa we have now. The bottom part will hold a twin mattress for Emily to sleep on, the top will be a bunk size mattress for Seth that will fold down against the wall during the day to become the back of a sofa/daybed. And, Mark and Seth ripped out the old shower which had cracked and needed to be replaced. We will also refinish the bathroom floor and do some painting.

My garden looks better today than I actually expected since it has been underwater since the last rain we had. I think it will recover.

Now if the sun would just shine tomorrow and warm things up a bit.....

oh, yeah, I wanted to give you an update... the young man who got his finger smashed off at the concert the other night was at church last night playing his guitar! kids are so resilient. He has figured out how to play with 3 fingers, the doctors think his finger should heal enough for him to play with it eventually.

I admire your industriousness! I have a long To Do list right now. Just reading it makes me so tired that I end up not doing any of it. LOL

All good news!! I like the Prius. Our friend has one and it's a really good car.

My utility has a fleet of Prius for all their government cars. They are very wonderful.

Congratulations on getting out of debt.

We are doing a major debt-restructure now to do the same thing.

Only no new car.

Cara - I hope the daffodils made it ok, they had been out of the ground a while so I dampened them, they didn't get moldy did they??
