The moon called to me last night. The air was warm and rich the way it is before rain. I took a chair and sat by the pond watching the ripples of moonlight on the water and longed for something magic in my life. I tilted my head back to rest on the chair and watched the stars twinkle, a jet creep across the vastness, the clouds moving swiftly across the face of the moon and thought - how much more magical does it get??
It has been a busy day. Mark and Seth left early to go look at a truck Mark was thinking about buying (but decided against).
I spent my morning trying to make myself beautiful. Levi had invited us to an open house at his work place and I wanted to look my best for Levi's sake. I can remember being embarrassed by my Mom and would never want to do that to my kids.
I gave myself a facial, did my hair, picked out an outfit, did my make-up carefully.
I think the overall effect was as good as it gets for me. And, even if Levi didn't notice that I had taken special care to look nice, Mark did.
It was good to see where Levi spends most of his life these days. Because of the nature of their work, security is very high and normally they do not allow anyone in the building other than employees. We took a tour of the whole facility, saw what they did, some of the products they produce and best of all got to see Levi's space.
He's a funny guy, that Levi. He has a Darth Vader head and a bottle of Germ X on his desk. I didn't notice any pictures, but we were being shuffled past pretty quickly with the tour group.
The whole operation is pretty impressive. The guy that owns this business started it when he was 14 years old out of his basement. He's only 35 now. The Ada facility employees 100 people and they have offices in Dallas. It is all very high tech looking. I bet I saw at least 200 computers. It is definitely a place where Levi can build a career.
Then I took my Mom to the beauty shop, taking her anywhere is an experience all in itself.... but she has gotten where she won't wash her hair without me having to fuss at her about it and I just don't have the energy for it. So, I have started taking her to get it done once a week.
Actually, I kind of enjoy the whole beauty shop gossip thing, funny, huh?
Now I am ready to do nothing the rest of the day. I'm going to let everyone fend for themselves for supper tonight. I have a couple of movies to watch. I think I will watch Kate and Leopold. We watched Zoom last night. Zoom is very kid friendly and funny. We all enjoyed it.
Off to the sofa to veg.
I always appreciate the love you guys send my way. This blog is my place to vent, to grieve, to celebrate, to just let my words wander and see where they go. Thanks for caring.

I always love going to the 'inner sanctum' of secret places where people work that normal people can't go.
I work at a place like that and got to take my husband (comb my blog for a photo and entry)
Soon, he will take me to where he will build the world's most advanced
airplane. I can't wait!
I love both of my jobs!
I also love my little blogging group of people.
Sounds like a full day!
