Jen recently asked us to list (some)of the things we love. At the time, I thought mine were just too numerous to list but I still love the idea of naming them and I do love lists...

so here I go

My life in general. I am so blessed to be able to do the things I love to do most without having to try to make a living too.

working with my boys
this morning a part of our school was gardening. I taught Seth about how you have to dig the garden deep for planting root crops. We looked at the Old Farmer's Almanac to see what days were best for planting root crops (although I already knew, I just wanted him to see it). We discussed how the phases of the moon affect so many things. We looked up the best days for fishing this month and they just happen to fall during our spring break. Woo Hoo!! We plotted the garden to see where we would plant the early crops of potatoes, onions, radishes, lettuces, and peas. I told him how we would plant one whole section of the garden in potatoes, eat what we wanted and leave the rest to rot and nourish the soil. You always have to give back.

the smell of freshly turned dirt

receiving shipments of Coffee Fool coffee just in time to for my after noon cup

that whenever my husband is off working on a job we call each other like teenagers in love
He is in McAlester today helping Derek install a monster home theater system in a
multi-million dollar house. We have talked on the phone 4 times already with tidbits of today's activities.

watching my flower gardens and yard coming alive after a long cold winter
The elms and maple trees are all in full bud... hell on allergies but beautiful to behold.

I could go on and on with things I love because they are boundless...

beautiful words
things that smell clean
women who are honest and strong
men who love their wives
Emily's laughter
Seth's kindness
Levi's integrity
Mark's long, soft, curly hair
blogging pals who inspire me to look at the good things in life

But, I'm gonna stop now and go brew a pot of that coffee fool coffee and sit on the porch to drink it.

Coffee fool.. I have not heard of It, I will have to look that up.

I am a folgers girl myself, which is punishable by death in the Seattle metro area.

CV, it is coffeefool.com, really good coffee (organic/fair trade) at reasonable prices and I am hooked on it - very smooth. I buy the 2.25pound option and it makes it a little cheaper.
