I woke up yesterday feeling like pooh-pooh. I am feeling better today, except that my throat feels like I've swallowed the fuzzy end of several dandelions.

We watched Happy Feet last night. It was cute but does not live up to all the media hype. it reminds me a lot of the movie Robin Williams did about the logging industry several years ago - Fern Gully.
I'm hoping to get The Pursuit of Happyness for tonight.

Seth is going to a Unity Now weekend with the youth group from H2O. They will be meeting up with kids from 12 other local churches. There is a big part of me that just wants to tell him NO, don't go! because I'm afraid he will feel left out or not fit in or not be able to make any friends but, this is the place where I just have to encourage him to go on out there and try.
When I was his age I didn't do so many things I really wanted to do because of my timidity and I will not put that on Sethy. He almost backed out of going after Wednesday night but we pushed a little for him to go ahead and try it with the option that if it doesn't work out he can always call us to come get him. But, he has to make an effort first.

I have to admit that as many things as I see wrong with church that I'm glad that it is there. I am going to try to see the good in this and not the bad. Seth needs this opportunity to learn how to handle relationships, meet new people, to be able to make some of his own life choices and I have to say that I'm glad he can do it at church.
