Share your V day story

When I got up yesterday morning I had a box of Seattle chocolates and a beautiful card waiting on the ottoman for me. I was half way through my first cup of coffee before I even noticed them.
Mark had gotten Emily a pair of stuffed singing dogs(I got you Babe by Sonny & Cher) and Seth some candy.
He had cleared his day so he could spend it with us.
Emily and I had appointments at the optometrist at noon. We all went.
We finished up with the doctor by about 2:30 and by then everyone was starving. We decided on Golden Corral.
With our tummies full and worn out from doctor visits we came home, put on our pajama's and took naps.
We spent the evening watching "The Invincible", Mark and I shared a bottle of red wine and did a lot of snuggling.

A very good day indeed.

My car got stuck and it took 3 hours to dig it out. My boss yelled at me because I couldn't make it into work. My ex nearly got talked himself into a fat lip. And my daughter hates me because we're moving to Arizona.

I could use a hug. And some valium. Or vodka. Whichever ya got...

Sorry it was such a sucky day for you.

I had to work BOO! David and I had decided not to buy each other anything. Of course neither of us stuck to it. I got him a big tub of licorice and a baloon. He got me a heart of chocolates. He got Erin an adorable stuffed bear and a heart full of candy. We made dinner together, Chicken Madera, and Erin and I made chocolate raserberry truffles. It was a delightful evening.

We didn't do anything really. Kind of makes me feel like an old married woman. Our anniversary is next month (exactly one month-3/15) and I already know what I'm getting: a steamer! Woot-woo! (But without any spontaneous romance, I'm feeling a little bit low...)

I've totally been there Kristen! Sometimes you have to tell men what you want. I know that means it isn't really spontaneous, but they require a little help now and then.
