If I could build my ultimate dream house........ (this is one of my fav-o-rite daydreams)...
it would have a huge laundry room equipped with washer/dryer, a large folding table, iron & ironing board (always set up and ready to use),and a sewing machine. It would be warm and dry and clean. (my existing laundry room is not in the house, cold, wet, and dirty)
it would have a commmercial sized kitchen with several ovens, a grill, a deep fryer (I promise I wouldn't use it too much), a completely stocked walk-in pantry, walk-in frig, and a walk-in freezer.
it would have a really huge pool room/greenhouse with a hot tub, a sauna, a small gym area
it would have a home theater with big soft recliners and great sound.
What would yours have?

Oh man, yours sounds good. :)
Mine would have lots of kitchen counter space, a kitchen island for the kids to pull up chairs to to talk, and a huge window in front of the sink to fill it with natural light.
A formal dining room. One of these days. And a breakfast nook.
And a fireplace. Sigh. J always dreams about a hot tub, so...one of those too.
Everything you said but with a maid to cook and do the laundry! :D
i agree... yours is inspirational!
okay, a library with comfy chaises, a secretary and a large desk.
a media room for Chris.
definitely a large fireplace.lots of light.
this is just a beginning
Oh, yeah, fireplaces - I forgot them, didn't I? I want one in the master bedroom and wouldn't it be sexy to have one in the bathroom? I've always wanted a towel warmer in the bathroom too. (aka as a dryer :)
and, how could I have forgotten the library...
Ramblin Richard here love the kitchen idea as far as laundry a washer and dryer is all if it needs ironing give it to goodwill. If it has a hole that means it is still good to wear and no need to patch. With a hot tub how will ever get anything done.
Richard - thanks for stopping by! You haven't been Ramblin' much lately. I figured Rhonda was keepin' you hopping with all the new critters.
I have my dream home.
It's a double wide trailer and the payment is $290 a month. My taxes are $105 a year.It keeps me dry and lets me sleep at night.
It will be paid for here pretty quick.
We have enough room to do what we like, but not so much that we end up 'awash in junk'. Economy of space.
Once our bills are completely paid we'll pick it up and move it somewhere that tickles us....or not.
Our dreams are not the mainstream, but they are sweet for us!
This is one of my favorite daydreams too!
First off, the outside will be yellow. I love yellow houses. There will be a big wrap around porch and plenty of trees. Hardwood floors are a must, and tons of windows. A big kitchen with a breakfast nook, a hidden staircase because the house I'll eventually tear down to build this one has one and I love it. Plus all the things you mentioned. :)
Really, I'd like to keep in similar to the same style of the house that is there now, but I'm not sure that is realistic.
