One minute rant...

Ok, I'm reading Stephen King's book, "Lisey's Story". He is telling the story from a woman's perspective, right??

To be honest, I have problems these days reading much of anything written by a man.. ok, so, I know that's weird, but I just prefer to read books written by a woman - especially if they are about women.

So, I'm already kind of struggling with the book but would like to read a good story (I do so love a good story)and I used to really like Stephen King (pre Cudjo)...

But, I'm reading along and come to this - one of the sisters has gone to the bathroom..... "to make a little lemonade and blot the bush"

Did you read that?? "TO MAKE A LITTLE LEMONADE AND BLOT THE BUSH"

Tell me, have you ever said that or even thought that or know of any woman who would????

Geez, if you are going to write a woman's story maybe you ought to understand them a little.

Yea... ew. Where do these people live? What's the time frame?

Jen, in the story they live in Maine and the time frame is current. Do you actually think women anywhere say that?

I threw a book by Nicholas Sparks across the room once because he was trying to write from a womans perspective and had no idea what he was talking about! I probably would have thrown this book too. Only a man would come up with that.

Hmmm. No, I was wondering if it took place in the 1930s down in the hills of Tennessee.... that I might be able to understand....

I used to be a huge Stephen King fan until he got into his whole domestic violence kick.

Then I was out.

I think it's a bit arrogant of him to think he can write a book from a woman's perspective.

Just because you are married doesn't mean you know everything about women.
