I've posted a few of our icy pictures. The Weather Channel was calling it thunder sleet this morning, I've never heard that term but it oh, so, weird to hear it thundering while sleeting, makes it feel even more eery.
It just keeps raining ice, the trees are getting heavier and breaking. It's colder and slicker than yesterday.
So far we still have electricity.
I really hate this shit... if I wanted this kind of weather I'd at least go live where I could see the mountains.

I drove through thunder and lightning snow the other day, it's wierd stuff.
When our power goes out, I think about all the other people around the world who do not have bankable power day in and day out...
I also think about the people who lived years ago. I bet they would regard us as spoiled children, so soft and weak.
I think about them, while I snuggle under my electric blanket.
I hope you and yours are well on the road to full Modern Conveniences soon.

I'm so grateful for our conveniences but you're right, we are soft and weak. I'm sure if we had to we could survive like the pioneers did but I'm sure glad we don't have to!!
