This may be long and rambling, but, you love me so here goes:

I haven't written on here in a while, it isn't because I haven't tried but every time I attempt to it just comes out all wrong.

There is a lot going on right now, crazy stuff. Business is picking up and Mark is crazy busy which is good, I guess. It's hard on him physically but we are about to crawl out of that deep(financial) hole we had been in all winter.

So, a couple of weeks ago...

No, let me give you some back story on that first...

Levi, as you know, is supervisor of his department and has been for about a year (with no raise in pay)Upper management wanted to move him to another department to clean up someone else's mess, make him a manager (step up from supervisor) but still no pay raise. Levi interviewed and hired a man to take his place and has been training him for about a month. As it got closer to time for him to step into the new position he was doing a lot of introspection and he decided that what he has been doing for the past 4 1/2 years is just not what he wants to do for the rest of his life.

So, he quit his job and announced that he wanted to come back to work for us!!!!!

Now, nothing, absolutely nothing, would make Mark happier than to have both boys working for us again. But, knowing my husband I knew it would put the pressure on Mark to make this work. All he needs is more stress in his life.

For now Levi continues to work at Edge and work on weekends with Mark and Seth. His last day is May 25, the day before baby boy is to be born. Levi is willing to find part time work if need be. They are in the process of paying off bills, cutting corners where they can, and saving every penny that can be saved.

On one hand I am proud of Levi for having balls enough to do this, change is not nor ever has been easy for Levi. I knew that eventually this would have to happen - I mean he was only 18 when he got married, went to work in a corporate job and started having kids after living a totally opposite childhood working with us in the music business, being our own bosses, being free to do pretty much as we pleased.

On the other hand it scares me to death for them and us.

We don't want anyone to fail.

Right now everything looks good, so, please, just keep your fingers crossed that we can make this work so that we all can prosper and live free.

LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL!!!!

That really did take some balls on Levi's part. It is no easy task to step away from a secure source of steady income.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys.
The more I work on the photography business the more I appreciate the idea of working for myself.

Wow - This is all big news. I love what you and Mark have been able to model for and teach to your kids. I'm thinking rock and roll is here to stay. And I am so happy to hear that business is picking up.

My 17 year old told me, at the grocery store he works at, that the more expensive organic items are starting to sell again. I reckoned that was a good sign also.

Oh and that thing of more responsibility at work for Levi with no change in pay -- that is just wrong. Unless the company really cannot afford it, but scenarios like that always make me wonder how upper management is lining their pockets.

Fingers crossed here, too. I do like the idea of you guys all getting to be together. :)

That's great news! I understand the stress but to have a real family business and have everyone together.

You all are cool.
